Home Is Where My Story Begins

Dodgeball For A Good Cause

Friday night was dodgeball night, but this time it was for charity. One of the PE teachers, at my daughter’s school, helped organize a fundraiser to support a community of people who suffer from Usher’s Syndrome.  An article in the local paper was written about our PE teacher’s wife and brother in law, who both suffer from Usher’s Syndrome.  If you haven’t heard of this before, you should really check out the article. Sadly, people who suffer from Usher’s Syndrome will gradually lose their sight and hearing.  I can’t even imagine.

So, it was dodgeball for a good cause! We didn’t have to twist too many arms to get my neighbors to play.  Dodgeball night is always a ton of fun!  I’ve mentioned before… I live in the best neighborhood ever!

We play at the Snohomish Sports Institute if you are local and interested in setting up your own tournament.  I didn’t get a picture of my team, since I was the photographer.  We were the Sitting Ducks, wearing our Duck Dynasty attire.

It was a great night, SO much fun, and we raised over $2000 to donate toward research on Usher’s Syndrome.

Now, will someone please pass my Advil?
