Family

I hope you all enjoyed your Mother’s Day.  We had BEAUTIFUL weather in the Pacific Northwest this weekend.  I Facebooked my family and prepared them for family pictures before dinner. We had to take advantage of the opportunity for an outdoor family picture!

 My family tries to get together about every other month to celebrate birthdays. We have a lot of May birthdays, and of course we also celebrate our mothers. Here’s a picture of my grandma, mom, brother, and sister.  And that’s me over there, on the right. I’d share the whole family picture, with 20 family members, but the kids are in the picture and I’m a bit of a freak when it comes to putting my kids’ pictures online.

My grandma, Nanie, is 94.  She had a great day, relaxing on the deck with her whole family.

We were able to BBQ outside, since the weather cooperated.  My hubby is AMAZING!  He worked so hard to get things ready, inside and out, so I didn’t have to work so hard on Mother’s Day.  Honestly, he did most of the work for this party.  Oh, and I have to give my kids credit too.  They were big helpers!  We had a perfect party.  Of course the kids’ favorite part was the dessert buffet.

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the mothers and grandmothers in my life!  I was able to celebrate with my mom and grandma and will celebrate with my hubby’s mom and grandma very soon.  I can’t forget my dad’s wife either!  We think she’s fabulous and we’re thrilled she’s part of the family.

Yep, we shall call them Blessed.
