Home Is Where My Story Begins

Salt Air Projects

Last Summer I bought some beautiful fabric from a little quilt shop in Eastern Washington.  I’ve been making pillows, buntings, a lemonade stand for my kids, and a really fun chalkboard mat.

I’m ready to use my jellyroll and create a quilt, but I can’t decide on a pattern. I’m kind of frozen with fear, and I’m NEVER that way when it comes to sewing.  But, I just love this fabric so much, that I’m afraid I’ll pick something to make, and then not love the finished product.  So, here are three quilts I’m thinking about.  These have been floating around on Pinterest and caught my eye.

Love the big stripes in this quilt!  It’s almost too easy, since a jellyroll is made from pre-cut strips.

The skinny stripe quilt has been on my radar for a long time now.  It would certainly be quick and easy, and I could use the left over fabric for lots of other projects.

I love the classic quilts too!  I’m kind of leaning toward a pinwheel quilt.

So, what do you think?  Should I make one of these, or just choose a pattern from my jelly roll quilt book and get going?  I’d love your suggestions!

Happy quilting!

I *love* the first quilt with the thick stripes. So cute for a little girl's room. 🙂

I agree. I love the wide stripes in the first photo.

They are all so lovely, no wonder you can't decide. The first one seems the most practical for a jelly roll.

They are all pretty, but I'm partial to the pinwheel.
