Home Is Where My Story Begins

The Snowmageddon Seven – Pounds, That Is

It started snowing last Sunday and it hasn’t stopped since.  We are really not used to this around here.  An inch of snow shuts down schools and throws drivers into a tailspin.  Now the ice storm is here.

Picture from my local news website.

My shed looks like a little Christmas cottage, with a foot of snow on top.
The deck doesn’t look ready for lounging any time soon.
Do you see this?  We have over a foot of snow!
The trees aren’t holding up so well, and take a look at the pile on top of the picnic table!

My daughter has an ever-growing icicle collection.
We’ve all heard of the “freshman 15”.  I’m calling this week’s weight gain “the snowmageddon 7”.  Don’t you think that sums it up?  Too many home baked treats + lots of cocoa = snowmageddon 7.
Happy sledding, baking, cocoa drinking, and movie watching.
Stay warm Pacific Northwest friends!

Oh To me it looks magical. Your yard looks so pretty.

Coming to you from the Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia. It's overcast here today if that helps.

What pretty scenery! I wish I could get just a little bit of that! I think it will be in the 70's here tomorrow. Enjoy it!!

Hey, we must be neighbors! 🙂 The snow has been beautiful and a much needed change of pace. I'm not looking forward to when it all melts though.
Love your little shed! Looks like a homey place to be.
