Grandma had two versions, the hand written and the typed (she loves to type and still uses her typewriter). She had initially written this recipe and then changed it over the years. I also have her typed version. The handwritten version was prettier for the blog post.

Sounds yummy. Are you sure the teaspoon/tablespoon translation from the written copy to your typed recipe are correct? We were taught that a capital 'T' meant tablespoon and a lower-case 't' meant teaspoon.

Becca, I just loved reading this post. I have a box of recipes from my Grandma that are all stained and dog eared and very well used.

Thanks for sharing. I love old recipes handed down through my family. We have some on paper like yours that are well-loved (getting hard to read). It's fun to frame those originals and hang in the kitchen, dining room or inside of cabinet doors (a little unexpected)!
