When filming, try to use a background that complements the food or craft. I film mostly on white, but also like to switch up the color some. I buy lots of cheap plates at Goodwill. I try to film between 10a.m. and 2 p.m. Sometimes, I end up taking stuff outside to film, just to get better light.

I dont even have an actual cam. I talk my pics with my phone. It's only a 3.0 but its halfway decent.

I am with you…always disappointed with my photos and always drooling over everyone else's. Thanks for the tip on not using a flash. I've been trying to do angles too. I know what I want them to look like but they never do! LOL I am always whining to my husband that I want my pictures to look pretty like all the other bloggers. The desserts you posted are making me want something sweet! Thanks for posted this it was great!
