It was very unfortunate that this happened to you, Becca. At times, a large cleaning equipment may hamper one's efficiency in cleaning. Cords get tangled up, equipment too large to fit and many more. These are some of the problems that could be avoided by buying smaller and more effective cleaning tools. Just remember to get them from trusted sellers.

I bought mine 5 years ago and it's still going! I, too, had vacuums dying on me like crazy, so I thought I'd go for quality and I haven't been disappointed. Plus, I really think it picks up more dirt than other vacuums!

Such a landfill waste!
Here's my story. I bought a Kirby 15 years ago for (are you sitting down?) $1200. I have never had to repair it nor has it ever broken down. i have raised children and shedding dogs. I have had wall-yo-wall carpeting and hardwood floors. We have vacuumed cars and pets and basements and attics. It is heavy. Made of metal. Totally worth it. Buy a Kirby and you will own it your whole life.
