Hi, Becca. What a lovely post. My Mom taught me to cook. Not so much as we cooked together, but I would watch her when I was small. I didn't care too much for cooking then! But, as I got older, I realized how important it is to have "family" recipes and family ways of cooking things. Now I make a lot of my mom's recipes, and I am trying to teach my son (he is 20) to remember how his "grandma" made things. It's great to pass on a family's way of doing things, isn't it? And, like you, I too love Ina Garten and the Food Network! I've picked up quite a few tips myself from watching the shows!

PS, your food pictures look amazing… Maybe you can teach us how to take or stage pics of food to make them look YUMMY!

That jam and cheese roll looks delicious! I was taught be mom too! I could not imagine being in a house where there was not much cooking go around. I love teaching my daughter how to cook! SO many of my fondest memories correlate with food!
