I did it! I filled the big scary (empty) wall in my hallway! It’s been empty for a decade and I can’t believe it took me that long to figure out a plan for it. I knew I wanted a collection of items but it finally hit me that I wanted breadboards.
I spend a lot of time in my kitchen, cooking and baking, and I love the look of wood. Breadboards just seemed like the perfect collection. There were a few really ugly parts on the cutting boards that I painted with black chalk board paint. It will probably take me another decade to figure out what to write on it!
I found the Give Us This Day sign at Hobby Lobby. It’s the perfect sign for a wall of breadboards. The breadboards, themselves, came from my own kitchen, friends, garage sales, thrift shops, and Tuesday Morning. I have to say, this is a pretty inexpensive way to fill a giant wall. I’m thinking I may even write a recipe or two on a couple of boards. We’ll see.
So, what about you? What do you do with a giant wall? How do you fill the space?

> LindaI agree! I went to antique stores but they wanted $25 for an old breadboard. I shopped thrift stores instead and only paid $2 for a breadboard!

Great idea for a gallery wall, this would be perfect for a kitchen, too!
