This time of year I always start feeling like the only option for fruit is oranges. Today we mixed up a batch of fruit smoothies to go along with our dinner. Last summer I used the Food Saver to package up lots and lots of berries. We put yogurt, frozen berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, and blackberries), a banana, ice, and some apple juice into the blender.
I LOVE my new blender. It’s a Cuisinart and it’s the best blender I’ve ever owned. I have had it for a few months and I’m impressed each time I use it. You know how the blender always seems to get stuck when you’re using it? Then you have to get out a spatula and stir it up, just so it will keep blending. Not so much with this blender. LOVE IT!
Blending… then it just turns the berries over.
Smoothies are ready in no time. My kids think these are the biggest treat ever. I love the fact that they are gobbling up all of those different fruits (and vitamins). Really, the only not-so-healthy thing is the apple juice and you don’t need to add too much.
YUM!
We’re ready for Home and Family Friday. Sorry about the thumbnail size last week. Hopefully this one will be bigger. Let’s see what you’ve been up to this week! We love to see home projects, craft projects, room makeovers, recipes, anything goes! I’d love it if you’d grab my button and become a follower.

I need to bust out the frozen fruit this morning. Have you ever added spinach to your smoothies? You can't taste it and it adds all kinds of vitamins. Thanks for hosting!

That blender looks great! I am pretty sure mine is on its last leg, so I'll have to keep my eyes open for that one!
