In the middle of the night I thought of the title for this post. It’s a favorite quote of my hubby’s from Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. If you’ve seen the movie, you’ll probably remember the line. If not, you have no idea what I’m talking about.
I saw this project twice in Bloggland a few weeks ago and immediately fell in love. If you were the writer of one of those posts, please let me know. I can’t seem to recall where it came from. Anyway, these are not really pillows!!! They were inexpensive placemats from Walmart. All I needed to do was rip the seam open a little, stuff them, and sew up the edge again. Super easy and super cute!!!
Happy Sewing!
Check out these parties I like to link up to.

From Princess Diaries – "SHUT UP!" 🙂 These are adorable. I think it is amazing when people can sew, but I think it is more amazing when people figure out ways to NOT sew. Yahoo!

Wanted to make them, but decided too many other projects, now I'm regretting it…wonder if my Walmart still has them. Great job.

I did the placemat pillows a few times (I don't think you got it from me though), but it never occurred to me to use the Walmart leaf placemats! Stunning!

I love this idea. When I first saw the picture I thought they would take too much time with all that custom sticking to get the veins just right. But I can do placemats. Super fun.

Cute! I would have never thought of this.

So wish I had seen this last year. They aren't selling them in 2011!

Must depend on the location because my Wal-Mart has them this year! I just found them on clearance, and I can't wait to make them!

These are adorable! I just made a set yesterday. I saw the idea here – http://pinksuedeshoe.com/2010/11/01/fall-leaf-accent-pillows/ The placemats aren't on clearance at our Wal-mart yet, I wish they were! Brook http://snipssnailsandpuppydogstails.blogspot.com/

I always love seeing these pillows around blogland. I posted the original tutorial last year here: http://tatteredandinked.blogspot.com/2010/09/easy-fall-leaf-pillows_27.html
And my wal-mart is still selling them, so run over and stock up!!

I will never look at placemats the same! Endless possibilities : )
