The BlogHer food conference was filled with…. well, food. Breakfast was certainly the highlight in the food department. The buffets were beautifully done.
Today’s lunch included an excursion to Pike Place Market. (Note to self: Don’t forget to change the ISO on the camera next time. 1200 ISO = grainy pictures.) The fruits and veggies were beautiful, as I’m sure you would expect.
I didn’t buy anything, because I still had half of the day to be sitting in a conference room.
The line to buy a cup of chowder was huge, at Pike Place Chowder. I had never heard of Pike Place Chowder before, but I was expecting spectacular chowder, considering the length of the line.
I wasn’t disappointed. The salmon chowder was TO DIE FOR. I wonder if my lunch friends were embarrassed to be seen with me, when I had to lick the plate to get every last drop of yumminess. Oh, who am I kidding? They were doing the same thing! It was really good.
Even though I live close to Seattle, I’m not a Seattle-ite. I do everything I can to avoid the Big City. It scares me. The streets are all one way. Some of the people freak me out. Oh, and I’m afraid I’ll get lost. (Which I would have, had it not been for my hubby taking me on a virtual field trip on Google Maps before I left.) In the end, everything turned out just fine. I didn’t get lost and I even enjoyed myself.
